Charmian Love, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of B Lab UK
Charmian believes in the power of business as a force for good. She is an active champion of the global B Corp movement and helped coordinate the launch of the community in the UK. She is Co-Founder and Co-Chair of B Lab UK and supporting the development of B Lab’s Multinational and Public Markets Advisory Council.
In addition to her role at B Lab UK, Charmian is Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director of Volans where she advised on the design and implementation of corporate innovation and talent development strategies for clients including HP, Nike and Allianz. Charmian also led the development of research projects focused on long-term innovation (The Future Quotient) and corporate venture capital (Investing in Breakthrough).
Charmian continues to enjoy working closely with corporate venturing teams. Her recent project, Corporate Impact X, is focused on developing pathways for corporates to activate new venturing strategies which prioritise the creation of positive outcomes. To help them on this journey, this spring she launched The Practitioner’s Guide: Steps to Corporate Investment, Innovation and Collaboration.
Charmian is also an innovation advisor at Grant Thornton UK – because she truly believes ‘accountants can save the world’. She also regularly spends time in Oxford University as a tutor at Said Business School and as a Tutor and an Industry Advisor at the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship.
Active in the community, Charmian is a Trustee of the Future Fit Foundation and a BMW Foundation Responsible Leader. She can often be found speaking at events focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability and has enjoyed contributing to Harvard Business Review, Fast Company and Stanford Social Innovation Review. Charmian was recently profiled in Brummell’s Magazine in their 'Top 30 under 40' list.
Charmian started her career as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She graduated with an Honours degree in Art History from Queen’s University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
